Natural Beauty Skin Care Tips to Keep You Looking Younger

February 18th, 2012 by admin No comments »

Are you looking to prevent premature aging and look your absolute best??Then these skin care products are for you.?We all know that wrinkles are a normal part of the ageing process, but there are a few steps we can take to stay looking young for as long as possible.
?
The best thing you can do for your skin is to keep to a healthy lifestyle.?Diet and nutrition is what fuels your body and provides nutrients to enable the body to make essential oils and collagen for the skin.

What Is Collagen?

Collagen and Elastin are the most important proteins found in the human body. Collagen makes up three-quarters of proteins found in the skin and provides the skin with resilience to withstand stretching and punctures whilst elastin ensures its elasticity. Collagen keeps dermal and epidermal tissue in optimal condition, improves moisture retention in the deeper layers of the skin and is vital for repairing skin without leaving scars.

Vitamin C and A are essential nutrients for collagen synthesis and ensure the perfect function of fibroblasts, which are the cells producing collagen and elastin. While young our collagen still retains all of its moisturizing properties and the skin appears smooth and soft with a healthy complexion. As we grow older collagen synthesis is slowing down and collagen loses its flexibility and capacity for absorption. The skin becomes thinner and the protein fibers decrease in diameter. The external effects of this process are the appearance of wrinkles and drier skin.?The most effective vitamin to take to increase your collagen is Vitamin C.

Two of the most useful essential oils to use in natural beauty products to aid in the fight against wrinkles are Frankincense and Neroli.?Frankincense appears to have a preservative effect on the skin.?In some instances it may even reduce existing wrinkling, but it does certainly help further wrinkles forming.?Neroli is particularly valuable in that it stimulates the body to produce healthy new cells, and this can help to keep the skin looking smooth by delaying the ageing process in the layers of connective tissue.
?
When making your natural beauty products and using essential oils, they must be mixed with carrier oils, such as avocado, or jojoba mixed with 25% of wheatgerm oil.?These particular carrier oils are richer oils which are the most helpful for skin care products.

Good nutrition is important, especially foods rich in Vitamin B, C and E.?Smoking, alcohol and excessive amounts of tea and coffee lower the vitality of the skin and increase the tendency to wrinkle.

We are all aware how dangerous the suns rays can be, so it is most important to protect yourself when you go outside in the sun.?The sun dries out your skins natural oils and moisture making it more susceptible to ***** or wrinkle.
Coenzyme Q10 is another popular anti-wrinkle ingredient.?It protects the skin from free radicals, which are continually generated by the body’s metabolic processes.

These are general rules to help you prevent the signs of premature ageing.?If you do not make your own products, then look for anti-wrinkle products that contain the ingredients listed above to make sure you are getting a good quality product.

Beauty in Your Kitchen – Home Remedies For Younger Skin

Have you ever wondered whether there was another way of retaining that youthful glow of your skin without spending a fortune on all the anti-aging beauty products that are being advertised today? Well, there is, and it’s in your kitchen. There are many effective, safe and inexpensive home remedies for younger-looking skin that can be made from the ingredients you normally have stocked in your kitchen. The following is just a small listing of the home remedies you can use for younger skin.

Honey and Almond Scrub. This gentle ****** scrub is great for removing oils and dead skin cells. Mix a small amount of ground almonds with honey to make a paste. Massage the paste into your skin with a hot washcloth and then rinse with cool water.

Cornstarch. Cornstarch dries up oily patches. Mix 1-3 tablespoons of cornstarch with warm water to make a paste. Rub on your face, let dry, then rinse off with lukewarm water. Use it once a day for best results.

Apple Cider Vinegar (Organic). There are two ways to use apple cider vinegar for great skin. The first is using it externally to exfoliate your skin. Apply the vinegar to a cotton ball prior to bedtime and let dry for five to ten minutes. Then rinse with cool water. Be careful when first using apple cider vinegar on your skin as some people may have an allergic reaction to the acid on their skin. If using the vinegar straight is too strong for your skin, then dilute the vinegar with four parts of water.

The second way to use apple cider vinegar as a home remedy for younger skin is to drink 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar in 16 ounces of water throughout the day. Again, be careful when using the vinegar as some people may have an unpleasant reaction to the acid in the vinegar.

Aloe Vera. Break open a leaf of an Aloe Vera plant (you do have one in your kitchen for burns, don’t you?), scrape the gel out and smooth onto your skin. Let dry then rinse off.

Vitamin E. ***** a capsule of Vitamin E or wheat germ oil and smooth directly onto your skin. Vitamin E is said to slow down the aging process and wheat germ oil promotes skin elasticity.

Cucumber. For tired eyes, place cucumber slices over your eyes. Cucumber juice is also effective in bleaching out age spots. Combine one tablespoon of cucumber juice with 2 tablespoons of water and apply to affected areas twice daily.

Lemon. To lighten age spots, rub lemon directly onto your skin.

Egg Whites. Beat one egg white until frothy and stiff. Apply with soft brush or cloth around inner and outer eye areas and along cheekbones. Leave on for 10 minutes. Remove the mask by spraying areas with water and using cold water on a cotton ball or washcloth to remove. This works for reducing crow’s feet as well.

Green or black tea. For puffy eyes, steep two bags of tea in hot water for 4-5 minutes. Let cool until the bags are comfortably warm. Lie down, close your eyes and put abag over each eye then cover with soft cloth.

Fruit Yogurt. Used as a wrinkle mask, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/2 a ripe banana to the yogurt for an even better mask.

Watermelon. This is a great natural cleanser when crushed and smeared onto the skin. You can use it just by itself or you can mix it into your favorite fruit yogurt as a mask.

The above is just a brief listing of quick, inexpensive and effective home remedies for younger skin that you can create from things that can be found in your kitchen. As with anything new, test everything you are going to put on your face (or take internally) to see if you will have any type of unpleasant reaction to the treatment.

Meaningful Beauty May Not Be So Meaningful to Skin Care Consumers

Meaningful Beauty Overview

Crawford has coupled with Dr. Sebagh to produce a Complete Age Maintenance System that is claimed to improve the appearance of aging skin that is notorious for the break down of collagen. There are seven products in the skin care system to be used to improve the appearance of the skin. We will look at one-the Glowing Serum-that is advertised to nourish and revitalize the skin.

Ingredients at a Glance

Soy protein, Marine botanicals, minerals, Vitamin C, and antioxidants

Ingredients in Focus

The combination of ingredients in the Glowing Serum are said to be luxuriously designed to smooth and condition ****** skin while encouraging cell renewal to help restore the skin’s natural vitality. Consistent use of the serum will apparently help nourish, protect and revitalize skin, which is said to leave your complexion with a youthful, luminous glow.

The advertising for Glowing Serum does not go into the details about what “marine botanicals” are used in the formula. We speculate they are a form of seaweed. Seaweed is rich in B vitamins, minerals and trace elements. There is some belief that seaweed is good for healthy hair and nails.

Positives

60-day guarantee

Negatives

The entire product line of Meaningful Beauty? may be required to receive the advertised benefits of the skin care system.

Meaningful Beauty? does not combine Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000, and Argireline into one collagen based formula

Final Thoughts

The Glowing Serum certainly contains some valuable ingredients in its formula; however the manufacturer fails to include all the necessary ingredients for improving all layers of the skin. The surface of the skin can only be as healthy as the layers that lie beneath it therefore, it’s important to obtain formulas that treat the cellular space between the layers of the skin. Collagen is always a necessary ingredient in any anti-aging formula because we lose it as we age and that is what contributes to the wrinkled and sagged appearance of an aging face. You can improve the benefits of supplementing with collagen if you look for an ingredient like Hyaluronic Acid that hydrates the skin to increase smoothness and elasticity. Also, Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline are worth considering because of their properties that increase collagen production and relax and inhibit the development of ****** wrinkles.?
